Gamma Chapter of Purdue University
ΛΦΞ Gamma Chapter History
In Spring 2004, several women came together on Purdue University's West Lafayette campus with a shared goal to establish a sisterhood in which individuals of all races, religions, ethnicities, and socio-economic backgrounds could share a familial bond without fear of being physically, emotionally, or mentally humiliated or abused. They wanted an organization that allowed for every voice to be heard; that recognized the growing need for embracing the diversity that makes all indviduals and this world unique; that was active in the community; and that retained a pure foundation
Returning to campus in the fall of 2004, the group of interested women had changed. Original members Crystal Dahl, Amanda Gregory, Lindsay Hunt and Jamie Pufahl decided Lambda Phi Xi Multicultural Sorority best exemplified what they individually and collectively wanted out of a sisterhood.
